WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY

Now this is going to be a 3 part series with a story running through all the 3 parts. The 2nd part will be Wednesday and the final post will be Saturday. These cygnets were born the day I was at Mount Stewart when BBC 1 were filming for a live programme in which I was one of a Rent – a – Crowd in the background of the Formal Garden at the National Trust Property of Mount Stewart. (Link at the end of this post).

Our story starts when both parents had decided to take all 7 of their new family for a swim.  You can see them (just) leaving the nest and Dad leads the way with Mum's encouragement.

Dad waiting for all of them to swim through the reeds.

Now Mum appears.

“ OK, 2 through“ says  Dad. “ Only 5 more to come”.

“Come on little one, you are the last one” he says.

”OK, Mum, All present and correct so off you all go, I will bring up the rear” he says.

Off they go so do not forget to look in on Wednesday and Saturday for the continuation of the story and images.
