Recently I did a walk with Toby, one of the Rangers and other members of
the National Trust round part of the demesne at Mount Stewart and these are
some of the gates and walls I found. The
wall with the arches was used as a piggery at one time. Possibly next week
(when I get the photographs edited) I will show you show you what other things I
found on that walk. I am linking this
post with GOOD FENCES.
Many thanks for your visit and also to all who leave comments.
You took some fine photos on your walk. Especially like the ancient stone structures you photographed.
ReplyDeleteLove the old piggery.
ReplyDeleteA lot of different and interesting styles! That is a divine pig home! Have the arches been bricked in or filled? I cannot tell, but it kind of looks like it.
ReplyDeleteNow that would have been a fine piggery in its day! Great stonework!
ReplyDeleteYou and your Ranger captured some wonderful places.
ReplyDeleteI like all your fences, but the last photo is my favorite!
ReplyDeleteYour fences/gates were quite nice. I liked the looks of the area and the stone pillar at the end was really neat.
ReplyDeleteLove the stone fence and that pillar looks ancient. Have a great day!
