These are a few shots I took when I was out with my bird
group at Killynether Wood, near Newtownards last Monday. We heard a lot of birds and
fleetingly saw them but I did not get any good shots. Although there were many small White and Green
Veined Butterflies, once again they were going at the speed of light so no
shots. The only ones that stood still
for a second were these Speckled Wood. The Bluebells we amazing. After arriving home there was a Small Tortoiseshell sunning itself in my
back garden (taken through window).

Great pictures of the butterfly.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful.
Great shots of the butterflies and bluebells.
ReplyDeleteButterflies are a wonderful change of pace and the little Speckled Woods are lovely. We have the Bluebells here as well and they are magnificent though not too long lived. I chuckled at your plant tag where the Tortoiseshell is sunning herself ... I leave my tags on my plants too just so I will remember what they are when they come up again, Ha! It is fun being old if you can laugh at yourself :)
