GOOD FENCES - Robin at Blessingbourne House

When I was visiting Blessingbourne House in June I walked round the lake and found a Robin sitting on this fence.

I took my daughter Judith and 2 grand children to a play park that had big Swans that you peddle on a lake, and lots of other fun things to do.  However I had a disaster!!  I had brought a flask and goodies to eat and of course my camera in a small rucksack and when I went to take the the camera out, water had got on it and it refused to work!!  Now as most of you know I and my family are going to Malawi this Sunday for 6 weeks and going without a camera would be unthinkable.  My camera is till not working however my birding friend Jimmy has come to the rescue, as he has the same camera as myself and does not use his too often as he has many other cameras so graciously and generously he given me his to take away with. The calamity has been solved.  THANK YOU JIMMY.

I am linking this post with Tex’s meme,

Thanks you for visiting.

Many thanks for comments you left on any of my posts.

  1. This little Wren is just flying by to admire your wonderful Robin photos (I miss Robins in Australia) and to wish you a great holiday! Please give Jimmy a hug from your blogging pals as we wouldn't like to think of you on hols without a camera either, as we'd miss out too! Have fun Margaret.

  5. What an excellent friend! I tell my wife I need more than one camera, just in case one packs up - I'm not sure she believes me!

  16. What a great friend he is!!!! People like us just HAVE to have a camera, it is almost part of our body! What a sweet little robin! At first look, it did not look right. Then I realized that it is a real European Robin, the authentic kind. Here, we have bigger and thinner birds that we call robins, but they are not really! Isn't that funny?

  17. Sweet little birdie. Hopefully after the camera dries it will function again. My husband's music player went through the washer last week. He placed in a container of rice and all is well now.

  31. Love your Robin on the fence. I have a blogging friend in the UK and she is an enthusiastic birder. When she put a photo on her blog years ago of a Robin I was instantly charmed by it. So different from the Robins in the US. You have a very nice friend! Enjoy your trip and travel safely!
