SATURDAY CRITTERS - Journeying Back to Blantyre (Part 3) Helen and Rick's House

There is only one cat in this post however I thought I would also show you a bit more scenery of our journey to Blantyre.  We stopped at friends of my family, Helen and Rick house.  We spend an hour being given a tour of the hospital Rick was working in and we saw a 2 pound old baby who wasn't even on oxygen and looked wonderful but SO tiny.

WEEKEND REFLECTIONS - Journeying Back to Blantyre (Part 2)

Yesterday we had arrived in Lilongwe and stopped at the Four Seasons restaurant and these are a few shots from the garden apart from the two below which is a reflection shot in the wing mirror.

GOOD FENCES - Journeying Back to Blantyre (Part 1)

Today we leave the lodge and head back to Blantyre and this shot was taken when I had finished my walking tour with the guide and came through a back way an found this woman and child doing the laundry.

This Stick Insect seem to want to make the journey with us much to the delight of Daniel and Annika

Now this was a common scene to see and although the law state that you should put a triangle out to warn people of the danger, that never happened. Instead, they put 3 separate lots of branches on the road 50 yards apart to warn drivers and that actually worked well, I thought.

Now what do you think of their scaffolding?

These were the entrance gates to the Parliament building in Lilongwe, Malawi.

We stopped at this restaurant called the Four Seasons in Lilogwe to have something to eat and the grounds had a beautiful and peaceful setting.

At least, this  week you could see some outside fences so I hope you enjoyed this post.  I will show you more  photographs from this place.

Lifupa Conversation Lodge (Part 18 )

These are the last birds I am showing from the Lifupa Conservation Lodge.  They are the Woolly-necked Stork, Yellow - billed Kite, the African Wattled Lapwing, and lastly the Yellow- throated Longclaw.

WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY - Lifupa Conversation Lodge (Part 17 )

Once again I am with the guide in the early morning and we saw these birds below.  They are the Grey Hornbill, Grey Lourie, African Green Pigeon and although it is high up in the tree and sitting on a nest, I hope you can see the African Fish Eagle.
