WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY

I am not 100% sure on the ID of this bird from Costa Rica however my best guess would be an Amazon Kingfisher.

    I believe you are right about this being a Kingfisher. That was my first thought.

    Yes I would agree, looks similar to the NZ King fisher.

    Whatever he is, it looks like he enjoys the same thing so many birds around the world do, perching on a rope, wire, or similar.
