Time for WeekendReflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter is G and Giant
This is, or rather was my own walky talky doll. She said Mam, Mam. I was given it one Christmas as a
child. Of course her/his head was attached
then. I use both gender because my
Mummy
made 2 sets of clothes. I dressed
my DOLL in boys clothes and called him DINKY
When I dressed my DOLL in a DRESS, she was called DINA.
I brought her/him broken ( although she/he could still walk) to my
last home in N.Ireland and the DOLL
remained resting in the roof space for 40 years.
When I DISCOVERED I was moving yo Australia I took her to a Special
Repair shop. I told them the DOLL’S
history.
However, unbeknown to me, a black lady overheard my story and said she knew of a little black girl that would love my DOLL and would give it a good home.
My mind was instantly made up. If
they could fix my doll, then this little girl could have it. The lady promised to make a set of girls and
boys clothes for it. Everyone was
DELIGHTED.
This final photograph of DAWN at Ballyholme Bay, Bangor. It is what I am using for my REFLECTION
shot
I appreciate your visit and comments.
