WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY Birds seen near Jura Island, Scotland

Last week I show cased the wonderful photographs of Martin Blackmore from the I.O.W and today as I did not see any birds on the car rally that I attended, I am showing you photographs of Sean Hennessy with his permission.  He took these when he was on a boat on the way to visit Jura, an island in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland.  An island I hope to visit next year.

Gannet

Minkie Whale

White tailed Eagel

I hope you enjoyed seeing these great photographs of Sean and I thank you for giving us the pleasure of seeing them.

I hope to be able to go on this trip next year.

I am linking this post with WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY.

Many thanks for visiting and also to all who leave comments.

  1. Thank you and Sean.
Loved the birds (particularly the eagle) but I have a huge weakness for whales as well.

They had contacted me and they joined my class in the morning and then we did more birding in the afternoon before I took them back to their hotel in Belfast. Wonderful day.

  18. Growing up near Hannibal, MO., eagles hunted for fish in the winter. Such a beautiful site to see them poised in the bare trees and then dive down to hunt. Your photos are truly grand.

My apologies to you...last week's Wed. Words I credited to Elephant's Child, instead of to you. Great words.
