Recently
when my laptop was away to have more hard drive installed, I fell back on
looking at photographs before I had a digital camera and I found these 2 shots. They were taken when I went to Australia for
the first time to visit my daughters' intended in laws, Pat and Peter. As they were flying over for the wedding
later in the year, I wanted to meet them and I took photographs over of all my family
so that they would be able to recognise them when they arrived at the
wedding.
I was not a bird watcher at the
time, in fact this was 17 years ago but birds seems to take to me!
I quickly
handed Peter my camera and he took these shots.
Thank
you for visiting.
Many
thanks for those who left comments on any of my posts.
Gorgeous things aren't they? And the one under your elbow in the first photo is an adolescent, just coming into his/her final vivid colours. They visit us often - and always make me smile - though ours would never hand feed.

ReplyDeleteThe Crimson Rosella has been a favourite of mine in since I was a young child. We do not get them at our own property, but are always thrilled to see them in other near-by areas when we go on a birding outing. Their bright colours and inquisitive nature never fail to disappoint.
