Time for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup and the
letter G and Ground. This bird is a
Stone Curlew and is sitting on the GROUND and the yellow butterflies are also
resting on the GROUND. I am using this
shot as my STREET PHOTOGRPAHY of a GROUP of bird watchers who feet are on the GROUND but
their eyes are trying to find a particular bird high up in the trees.
I appreciate your
visit and comments.
I hope you
enjoyed this post today.
I can sure tell you're not in Northern Ireland anymore! So many new birds and places to see them.
ReplyDeleteThe Stone Curlew has surprisingly large eyes.
ReplyDelete... a Stone Curlew is new for me. I was told that when butterflies gather on the ground like this, that they are getting minerals that they need. I agree with Bill, it's easy to see that you aren't in Northern Ireland now! Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderful week.
ReplyDeleteThe bird is certainly keeping a close watch on the watchers.
ReplyDeleteI hope they found their bird. We have a bird watcher friend, retired, they now live in Natchez, Mississippi. ;'We haven't seen them for years, the last time was when they were going to bird watch in the lower Gulf of Mexico in Texas. They did stop in to visit, but didn't spend the night.

Oh yes, the migratory birds are now visiting here. waking folk by their singing, up at four A.M. We've seen Blue birds and Cardinals so far. The wintering Ducks have headed back to up north.
