WEEKEND REFLECTIONS AND THE WEEKEND ROUNDUP

Time for Weekend Reflections and The Weekend Roundup and the letter is  S and Silhouette. Recently I took my Cook with Chef group to lunch at Parliament Buildings, often referred to STORMONT as its location is in the STORMONT Estate. It was opened n 1932 by Edward, Prince of Wales (later King Edward V111). You see a STAIGH|T and SIDE view of this STUNNING building. More information about it HERE

These are 2  views looking down this STRAIGHT  road for 1 mile to the main entrance.  At the roundabout is a STATUE of Lord Carson.

Let us STEP inside this SPLENDID building to the Great Hall where you SEE a STATUE of The 1st Viscount Craigavon that STANDS on the landing of the Imperial STAIRCASE.  Above is the STUNNING ceiling and SHINING chandeliers.

These are the SPEAKER’S robes and below is the emblem of the Northern Ireland Assembly SHOWING  the motif of the linen or flax plant has been adopted by the Northern Ireland Assembly as its logo. The SIX flowers signify the SIX counties which make up Northern Ireland, while the plant itself is a reminder of the history and importance of linen in our agriculture and manufacturing industries.

My final image was taken is Cape Town in 2018 and SHOWS a SILLOUETTE of SCHOOL aged children captured against a SINKING SUN giving me my REFLECTION SHOT.

I hope you enjoyed this post today.

I appreciate your visit and comments.
