Ducks and Geese in Ward Park

As I walked through Ward Park recently,
I photographed these Mallard and Greylag Goose.
Good to look at details sometime to see the beauty of them.

I am so excited today, and it is a my birhtday and I have had a special treat, it has snowed.
I love the snow.

WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY

I recently discovered two reservoir I did not know about that were only a few miles away from where I live.  There are not many birds on them and they always seem to prefer being in the middle of the reservoir which is not so good for getting shots of them  I am linking this post with Wild Bird Wednesday.

So today I photographed these 2 male Tufted duck and these Little Grebes.  There were quite a number of the Grebes
which was lovely to see although all were busy feeding.

THROUGH MY LENS - Blue Moon

This is the photographs of the Blue Moon on 31 January 2018 in Northern Ireland.  To do something once in a blue moon” is to do it very rarely: “ The phrase refers to the appearance of a second full moon within a calendar month, which actually happens about every thirty-two months.
I am linking with THROUGH MY LENS.

SATURDAY CRITTERS

Recently a friend of mine Don, The Owl Man, brought his Owls to the WWT at Castle Espie and I went to photograph them. I am holding, a heavy Eurasian Eagle Owl and linking this post with Saturday Critters.

I have forgotten  the  names of some of these Owls
but this one is the Great Grey Owl.

The middle darker owl is a Spectacled Owl.
Can anyone ID 7/8 and 11 images for me please?

Many thanks for visiting and also for laving comments.

The Weekend Roundup and Weekend Reflections

Time to link in again to The Weekend Roundup and Weekend Reflections and this week the letter is E, favourite and Evening.  So once again come with me on my walk.  The light is nearly fading so what can I show you.

This time we walked to the centre of my town, Bangor where there is the Town Hall and I liked the way the sun was setting behind the building.  This is in Castle Park and you can just see the EVENING light behind the trees.

At the other side of the Town Hall, we see the END of the snow on the lawn.

I do not like choosing a favourite but if I had a gun to my head, this would be the one but perhaps you have a different FAVOURITE?

Heading home, I passed the South EASTERN regional College where apparently you will have an  ENRICHING EXPERIENCE.

There was a huge clump of these EVERGREEN leaves,
EACH one EDGED with cream.

Then walking through Ward Park I see the
Library has on all its ELECTRIC lights and in a puddle a REFLECTION of one of the park’s standard lamps.

I hope you enjoyed our walk today, now where will we go and see next Friday?

Many thanks for your visit and also for any comments you leave.

A few weeks ago my friend Sue sent me this photograph of when she had a small amount of snow fall at Ballywalter, Co Down in Northern Ireland.
I am linking it to GOOD FENCES.
