WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY - Chelinda Lodge in Nyika Plateau , Malawi (Part 13)

My guide  asked me would I like to go quite deep into a Malawian forest as there was a special bird he would like to show me if we could find it.  It did take us quite a while and when we did find it, it was high in the canopy and keep flitting about so it was very difficult to get a photograph of it.  These re the best of the photographs i got of the Bar – tailed Trogon

I hope you you enjoyed seeing this special bird as much as the guide was delighted to find and show me it.
I was thrilled and well worth spending time searching for it.

I am linking with Stewart's WILD BIRD WENESDAY.

Many thanks for your visit and also to those who leave comments.

  23. What a pretty bird! Worth the hike, I'd say. I find it difficult to get good photos in the wild, as you said, they flutter around so much and are much more easily spooked than the birds in the backyard.
