WILD BIRD WEDNESDAY - Chelinda Lodge in Nyika Plateau , Malawi (Part 7)

These shots were taken on a late evening drive with a guide and at first I wondered why there were rugs in the vehicle but later totally understood why.  It was quite difficult seeing the birds and as for photographing them, well that was dreadful especially as I had 8 people moving around in the vehicle.

All the shots have been lighted and cropped so you can see them better
 Above are Red-winged Francolin.

Now the shot above has been lightened so can you see the Quail?
I wonder how long it will take you to find it!

This is a Common Quail.

This is the Denham’s Bustard also known as Stanley’s Bustard.
You will see the Francolin and Bustard perhaps better on the video.

I do mention a 'boat' in the video however we were in a vehicle!

If the video does not appear below, CICK HERE.

I hope you enjoyed these birds and thanks for visiting today.

Many thanks to everyone who leave comments on this post.

  8. They are great pictures. It is hard to photograph birds that blend in in with the background so well, but you did a great job of it.

  15. I saw the quail quickly, but I am used to little brown birds! I still don't understand the reason for the rugs.
