SATURDAY CRITTERS - Copeland Island Fulmars (Part 5)

It is just under a year since I last photographed the Fulmars on Copeland Island and if you wish to have more information regarding this bird, CLICK HERE.  There are 2 sites, one near the ’loo with a view’ and the other near one of the jettys.   The first birds are at the former. There is a video at the end of this post.

Interestingly, when I looked back at the numbers at each site last year there were 8 at the ‘loo’ site and , 11 at the ‘jetty site whether as this year there were 6 at the ‘loo’ site and 14 at the ‘jetty’ site.

I am standing near the jetty looking up at the cliff and see 12 Fulmar.

When I went back to se the Fulmar on Sunday, I thought could hear another couple of Fulmar but could not see them so I decided to climb up to the top of the cliff the to see if I could see them.  These next shots just show you how high it was.

That’s the jetty , now below!

Yes that is my foot over the cliff edge and I decided the one shot you see below was good enough!

CLICK HERE if the video does not appear.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the Fulmar.

I am linking this post with SATURDAY CRITTERS.

Thanks for your visit and also to those who leave comments.

  6. You CLIMBED TO THE TOP OF THAT CLIFF!? So sheer and steep and rocky..I am glad you are still alive! These birds must be very noisy, they always have their beaks open! You are probably the most adventuresome person I know!!

  22. Do like fulmars/tube noses. Not keen with heights though, your dangling feet scared me. The 'loo' is becoming more appealing.
