GOOD FENCES - MALAWI POSTS CONTINUES

I thought I better get back to posting my photos from Malawi again and we left off the story when Daniel was taking diving lessons.  So these shots were taken on his second day of diving instruction when Judith, Annika and I am waiting for him to come back and at the end of this post I will show you a couple of birds I saw on the beach and a short video while we sat drinking coffee.

Annika found a hammock to swing in.

The boat has Little Egret and Hammerkop on its sides.

These walls were made from empty bottles
and I thought this was quite inventive.

Common Sandpiper (I think )You will be able to see it better in the video and also there were hundred of Swifts and Swallows that are also on the video.

 African Pied Wagtail

When we meet up with Jon, we moved to any café and this is the view we had from it.

For the short video CLICK HERE if you cannot see it below.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the ‘out of the box’ fences and a few birds thrown in for good measure!

I am linking this post with GOOD FENCES.

Thanks you for visiting and also to all those people who leaves comments.

  1. Beautiful photos Margaret.
I look forward to the spring and summer.
The weather here is really terrible, just rain and storms.
    Best regards, Irma

  5. Your "fence" post is unique. I love the bougainvillea creating a frame; as the reeds framing the beach chairs and the trees and vines framing your granddaughter in the hammock. I've never seen a sandpiper moving so quickly. Great post. Really enjoyable.

  13. The wader is curious. It has the white "v" gap just after the wing like a Common Sandpiper but also the tail appears to be like a Green Sandpiper (white with brown bars) but would I say Common Sandpiper due that white "v". I like the look of the African Pied Wagtail though, handsome little bird.

  24. Thank you Margaret for all these lovely 'warm' shots. In my world it is snowy with cold temps. You post has been refreshing to see.

  25. I'm a little envious. It looks warm and fun there. It is dreary with snow flurries out my window.
