Fresh Fruit and Vegetable at Quarr Abbey

Last week when I walked to Quarr Abbey, I called in at the café where they were selling organically grown fruit and vegetables and as I thought they looked so colourful I  photographed them. I also saw these few last flowers blooming.

  5. What a show. It is brilliant. I was just trying to work out a menu with roast Squash, chillies and parsnip. I would buy from them were the price reasonable.

  11. What a beautiful setting, Margaret! The flowers are stunning, the vegetable display made me hungry and the entire post has put me in an idyllic state of mind. Thank you!

I have consulted my resident Oracle who knows all things (that would be Gini) and she immediately identified your mystery bin as Turmeric root.

    Continue to enjoy your holiday!

  13. Lovely colourful photos Margaret - what a beautiful array of vegetables. Wonderful to see flowers in bloom too :) Could the vegetables in the second photo be sweet potatoes? although the colour doesn't look quite right for that vegetable.

  14. It all looks very fresh! Love the little white flower, it almost looks like it has blood spots on it. Do you know what it is?

  15. Hi Margaret,
All the veggies look healthy and not too influenced by fertilizers (a good thing).
I would taste them all, if I were asked to :)
No clue on the 2nd vegetable!

    Have a Beautiful Day!
    Peace :)
