GOOD FENCES - Cattle at Blessingbourne House

As most of you know, I am in Malawi with my family and yesterday we visited a very small Safari Park about half an hour from their home.  I took stills and some video and as yet have to see it myself but I am hoping out of 288 shots, I will have some to show you later on.

These photographs were taken when I visited Blessingbourne House in June.  I am glad I put a number of posts into draft before I left Northern Ireland, as I would not be able or have the time to do any posting from Malawi.  I am very grateful to the people who still read my blog and leave comments even though I am unable to leave comments on theirs.

I am linking this post with GOOD FENCES.

Thank you for visiting.

Many thanks to all your leave comment.  I do read all of them when I have internet.

  2. Oh my gosh, I nearly forgot to look at any fence, their faces are just so darn adorable! What perfect captures too. The real close in tight shot shows off the shine in his coat! Just beautiful!

  7. Love this series of cows...quite different from "birding for pleasure". I take that perhaps during this post you were "mooing for pleasure." Lovely, smooth faces on these beauties.

  9. Okay, I was relieved to see there was a fence after four pictures. I was fairly certain that you wouldn't be in the pasture with the cows, but then :) I love cows with thier big brown eyes ... always makes me sad when I know what their fate will be someday. Love the two wet noses at the end. Cute post, Margaret and I hope you are having the time of your life in Malawi.

  10. Wow, to me they all look so angry or fretful. Great shots!

  11. That is not much of a fence in the one photo to hold the cattle. Must have been electrified! Best wishes to you and your family.

  12. You truly captured some nice sights. One of the wires must be electric as it definitely would not keep those cows in.

  13. A fine series with some distant and some very close. Obviously, you have the complete attention of the cows.

  17. Cows with price tags, how funny! I will take one, is a check all right? Ha ha ha. Seriously, i know what they are. We have many cows around here, but I have NEVER gotten this close! They are curious creatures! Meaning they have a lot of curiosity.

  24. Great shots, but those cows look a bit angry, or maybe quizzical is the word. And i see the fences, an electric one in there as well.

  27. Margaret,
    Nice photos.
I wonder if the cows have a serious look on their faces because of the electric fence :)

    Peace :)
