WILD BIRD WENESDAY -Swallow doing the Hokey Pokey at Blessingbourne House

We have very clever Swallows in Northern Ireland and they just love to dance.  When I was visiting Blessingbourne House recently and came out of my apartment, I spotted one on the wires.  Hope you enjoy the fun of this short video at the end of this post as much as the Swallow enjoyed dancing the Hokey Pokey!

  24. Beautiful shots of the swallow Margaret. Swallows are truly the aerial masters of the avian world. I can watch their displays for hours. Great video of the bird preening too. The soundtrack gives it a whole new dimension!

  26. It amazing how they can bend their feathers and move them around like that. Ours skies here can be covered with them before sunset collecting lots of bugs. Beautiful birds. Is this a Barn Swallow?
