Autumn Finds On My Journey To Caravan

Most of you know I spent last weekend down at my 'old caravan' at Whiterock, County Down and these are some of the photographs
I took on the way to it.

This Virginia Creeper was on these cottages as I past through this tiny village.

 Speckled Wood Butterfly

 Small White Butterfly

 Hawthorn Tree

Raindrops above on grass and on a cobweb below.

I hope you enjoyed seeing the finds I photographs on my journey.  On this same road I also pass the Castle Espie WWT and tomorrow I will show you some of the photographs I shot there.
THANK YOU FOR VISITING MY BLOG TODAY.

    1. Hi Irma Yes that 2nd shot show the tiny village and the only road through it and although on the left hand side all the other little cottages have just taken down and I assume new houses will be built. Well that is change. I hope this cottage with the Virginia Creeper will stay in the village. Glad you liked the images and thanks for comments.

  10. The Virginia Creeper is just gorgeous, and i did not know it was in other countries?? I guess it crept all the way over the ocean! You have made it look like the most beautiful and rare of plants!!! Being a newer follower, I do not know what your Caravan is, but is is for sure surrounded by beauty. I love the cobweb and butterflies. But I have to say the creeper is the star of the show for me today, the second picture is my favorite.

    1. HI Ginny I assume you mean where is my old caravan. It in about 35 minutes away frommy home. It is 40 years old adn 30 years ago I put it in a field in the country but overloooking Strangford Louch. It is peaceful anad quiet and I called it 'My Retreat'. There are no amenities and that is what I love about it. I can have them all the time at home. People love coming down to it for the day when I am there. You might like to see a post after I nearly froze to eath (7 April) I think you might laugh at the frozen photo!! Anyhow I am glad you enjoyed the post and thanks for comment.

    2. HI Ginny I got a comment from Linda who told me that you do not know the word caravan in America so I will try and rake out a photo of it and post it. Remember how old it is when you see it on the outside but inside it is just the same, the upholstery has not even faded.

  11. Caravan isn't a term that's familiar to us in America...at least, not in the way you use it. I looked up some other definitions on the internet and concluded that, to you, it must mean something like a travel trailer or camping trailer. Anyway, it sounds like a great place to get away for a little bit.

The photos, as always are lovely. That Virginia Creeper looks like it could be troublesome, but it's a beautiful kind of trouble. I especially liked the shot of the white butterfly on the berries.
